1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Recipe Remix ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

Recipe Remix is a web-based application that allows users to:

  • Capture and store recipes from various sources
  • Organize personal recipe collections
  • Use AI-powered features to remix and adapt recipes
  • Generate cooking timelines and instructions

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain the security of your password and account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4. Subscription Plans

Free Tier

The free tier includes:

  • Up to 10 recipes per month
  • Up to 5 AI recipe remixes per month
  • Basic recipe organization features

Usage limits reset on the first day of each month at midnight UTC.

Premium Tier

The premium tier ($5/month) includes:

  • Unlimited recipes per month
  • Unlimited AI recipe remixes
  • Priority customer support
  • Early access to new features

5. Payment Terms

Subscription fees are billed monthly in advance. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

All payments are processed securely through Square. We do not store your payment card information.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
  • Upload malicious code or viruses
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

7. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to the recipes and content you upload to the Service. By uploading content, you grant us a license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

The Service itself, including its design, features, and underlying technology, is owned by Recipe Remix and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses artificial intelligence to analyze recipes and generate remixes. While we strive for accuracy:

  • AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies
  • You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all recipes before use
  • We make no guarantees about the quality or safety of AI-generated content
  • Always use your best judgment when following recipes, especially regarding food safety and dietary restrictions

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RECIPE REMIX SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS LESS.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. You may delete your account at any time from the account settings page.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law
